925 Silver and Gold-Plated Jewelry Care the RIGHT way!
Thank you and Congratulations on your purchase of an official Kings of Alchemy piece. Included in your envelope is a specialized polishing cloth and this care sheet. Be sure to read this carefully so you can wear and enjoy this piece for many years to come.
PROPER 925 SILVER CARE:
925 Silver is hardy and long lasting. Even-so, silver tarnishes when exposed to everyday wear and tear. Especially weather (e.g. rain and humidity), cosmetics (lotions, sunscreen, etc.) and household cleaners (e.g. bleach, solvents, etc.). As such, be sure to remove all silver jewelry when cleaning, showering, applying make-up and hair products, and when cooking. Silver jewelry is more likely to tarnish in salty environments so be sure to remove it before swimming in the ocean or cleaning a saltwater fish tank.
PROPER GOLD FILLED JEWELRY CARE:
Gold filled jewelry is durable, but not indestructible. Even-so, gold fill tarnishes when exposed to everyday wear and tear. Especially weather (e.g. rain and humidity), cosmetics (lotions, sunscreen, etc.) and household cleaners (e.g. bleach, solvents, etc.). As such be sure to remove all silver jewelry when cleaning, showering, applying make-up and hair products, and when cooking. Salt water is especially dangerous to gold fill and can undo the plating process by getting in between the gold and underlying 925 silver of the piece. Coated jewelry should be cleaned once a month with warm water only. Using a very soft bristled toothbrush is ok as well. If the ring is especially dirty, WD-40 is perfectly safe to use and is less destructive than dish soap.
INCLUDED FREE CLEANING CLOTH USE:
The included cleaning cloth is for silver and bronze jewelry use only! Do not use on eyeglasses, sunglasses or on gold filled jewelry. This specialized cleaning cloth contains silver polishing compounds that polishes your tarnished silver jewelry to a like new shine. If you find your jewelry tarnishing or taking on a dull finish, simply wipe it down in small circular motions with the included cleaning cloth and within minutes it will be as good as new. Placing your jewelry back in the included box will also keep dust and debris off, keeping the time between cleaning longer.
